Safe at School

Help for Parents

Diabetes management is 24/7 and doesn't take a break during the school day. Schools need to provide proper care and support to help prevent life-threatening medical complications. This allows students to learn, participate, and thrive at school. Your first step should be to work with the school and your child's health care provider to put in place a formal diabetes care plan. If you run into problems, you can often solve them by educating the school about your child's rights. But if you need more help, please contact us.
