Health Insurance in Your State

Most laws regulating health insurance are developed and implemented by the 50 state governments. As a result, the health insurance options that exist in one state do not necessarily exist in another. A few laws, such as COBRA and HIPAA, were developed by the federal government and are available in every state.

The American Diabetes Association has gathered information on health insurance options available in each state and the District of Columbia and made them accessible to you. After selecting your state, you will be directed to information on health insurance options and how to contact each program. Please note that you may not meet the criteria to qualify for every program.
