The American Diabetes Association® (ADA) is pleased to announce that its Diabetes Food Hub® has been selected as a 2026 Everyday Health Trusted Health Resource.
Food plays an important role in living well with diabetes. The ADA's Diabetes Food Hub is designed to help people living with or at risk for diabetes and their families find healthy, delicious recipes and practical nutrition guidance to fit their lives.
Created and managed by the ADA's Nutrition & Wellness team of registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs), Diabetes Food Hub turns trusted food and nutrition guidance into easy-to-use tools, recipes, and resources that support everyday health and well-being.
Food and Nutrition Philosophy
Healthy eating should be personal, enjoyable, and realistic. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to food. The eating plan that will work for you is one that fits your health goals, preferences, culture, budget, and lifestyle.
The goal is to help you make informed food choices with confidence while providing practical guidance that supports long-term health.
Recipes
The recipes are created to support people living with or at risk of diabetes by offering a variety of balanced, flavorful meals and snacks. They:
- Offer flexible recipe options that can fit different tastes and eating styles.
- Provide reliable nutrition information for every recipe to help you find choices that support your health goals.
Because everyone responds to food differently, it's important to monitor your blood glucose (blood sugar) and work with your healthcare team to find what eating plan works best for you. People with additional health conditions or dietary needs should follow the guidance of their healthcare team.
What Food Hub offers:
- Over 1,300 diabetes-friendly recipes: Browse recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, desserts, and more.
- Meal planning tools: Create customized meal plans and grocery lists to make planning and shopping easier. Our team of RDNs created five-day meal plans each based on each of the recommended eating patterns shown to help people living with diabetes reach their nutrition and health goals.
