In a victory for children with disabilities, a federal court ruled today that the City of New York’s Department of Education (“DOE”) routinely denies students with diabetes access to field trips and bus transportation in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (“Section 504”), and the New York City Human Rights Law (“NYCHRL”).
