What It Means to be a Diabetes Advocate

Becoming a Diabetes Advocate means using your voice to make life better for people affected by diabetes. It’ standing up for yourself, your family, your community, and even complete strangers whose lives can be changed because you decided to speak.

Have you ever had to choose between paying for medication or your rent? Or been denied healthcare, technology, or the treatment you need simply because of cost, insurance roadblocks, or discrimination? These are the realities that millions of people living with diabetes face every day.

That’s where advocates come in. Your voice is powerful and it can make a difference. We need you to join us, to add your unique voice to the cause.

We have plenty of ways for you to get involved. Whether it’s signing up for the latest advocacy news, adding your signature to a petition, or sharing a post on social media, it all helps in the fight to improve the lives of those living with diabetes.
